What China AI visibility means

China AI visibility measures whether and how supported China-native answer engines mention a brand for a defined local question set. It treats market and language as part of the measurement scope rather than translating a global result and calling it local.

Enabled China-engine coverage

The current enabled catalog includes DeepSeek, Qwen, and Doubao. Each is measured as a separate engine because its model, retrieval behavior, and citation exposure can differ.

• DeepSeek answers count toward visibility even when its interface does not expose citation evidence.
• Qwen is monitored through its approved API adapter with the captured engine context retained.
• Doubao is monitored through its approved API adapter and reported separately from other engines.

Local questions need local configuration

A China-market project should reflect how local buyers describe the category and which entities they actually compare.

• Keep Chinese-language evidence in its original language so meaning and phrasing can be reviewed.
• Configure local buyer topics and question intent instead of relying only on translated global prompts.
• Confirm Chinese and Latin brand aliases and locally relevant competitors before measurement.

Compare markets without flattening them

Teams can compare visibility and competitor patterns by market while preserving each market's prompt set and denominators. A China result and a global English result are separate observations.

Engine transport and model changes are recorded as basis changes so unlike time-series segments are not silently presented as continuous.

Answer evidence remains the source of truth

Each observation retains the prompt, answer text, entity matches, engine, market, language, and date. This lets bilingual teams inspect the original response before drawing a conclusion from a translated summary.

Citation metrics appear only when the engine interface exposes answer-level sources. Missing citation capability is shown as unavailable and never converted into a zero citation rate.

Availability and interpretation limits

Engine availability depends on active adapters and plan configuration. Results cover the selected questions, markets, and collection period; they are not a census of every Chinese AI product or every possible buyer query.
